Vintage Chinese Iron-Clad Wooden Trunk. 29x20x20. Brass Hardware
This is a fascinating piece of storage furniture. Made of half-inch wood boards, clad with iron and decorated with decorative nail heads. The handles on the ends and the lock and lock plate are brass. The straps below the handles are iron.
I haven't tried to weigh it - the chest is upstairs and the large (veterinary) scale is downstairs - but I would estimate 75-100 pounds. A great coffee table, end table, lamp table as well as a storage space. A great element of the art one creates when arranging a room. I have some shippers that I have used successfully for other large pieces. I can put you in contact.
