Antique / Vintage Eight Sided Chinese Brass Enamel Box with Ceramic Lid
This is a unique Polychrome eight sided Enamel Brass Box with a raised Porcelain lid from China. Due to it's quite busy / color crashing exterior I suspect it was made for the Straits Chinese Market in Southeast Asia. There is metal edging on the top portion of the box meant top hold the large porcelain top piece in place. The box is quite decorative and has eight individual enamel panels with identical scenes of children playing. I estimate the age of this item dates to after the turn of the century since there is a rudimentary "Made in China" mark on the bottom of the box.
